PROSTRATION is a heavy metal band formed in 2008, based out of Southeastern Massachusetts.

The band was founded by Jim Ash former guitarist; co-founder of the Massachusetts death metal band BANE OF EXISTENCE.

Jim began to form the band PROSTRATION with the intent of going back to his roots of thrash and heavy metal. After putting a few advertisements online, the first person to respond was Keith Lambert.

Keith a local Rhode Island vocalist who has done stints in a few local bands, most notably FIST IN FACE a thrash metal band that had played around southern New England. Keith great lyrical writing and vocal style fits the music perfectly.

The next person to respond was guitarist Nick Emans a Massachusetts transplant via Celina, Ohio.

Nick had played in a few bands in Ohio, one notably being LOCK 14.  Nick came into the band with whole songs pretty much completed.

Soon thereafter, drummer Mike Fortunato joined the trio.  Mike, is formerly of the local metal band UNDYING GRACE. Mike's  powerful yet articulate drumming style adds the right base and element to the already existing songs.

The band is rounded out by former LETHAL FURY bassist Jim McHugh. Jim’s solid bass playing locks into the bands riffs and compliments Mikes drumming perfectly.

The band is always writing new material and is currently entertaining the metal scene throughout New England with constant demands for their presence at shows!
